To reinforce that Omantel is the original telco of Oman and encourage the country’s domestic tourism, that was not reaching its full potential among other more popular destinations in the Middle East, I helped to create a campaign hacking a very common behavior in the country of sharing Whatsapp images as morning greetings.
The campaign turned Omanis into domestic tourism influencers, helping to increase interest in tourism in the country and increase on site traffic to VisitOman, while Omantel saw a growth on its Whatsapp channel traffic and in positive mentions for the brand. Recognized in regional award shows as the Effie Awards (MENA Region - Internet & Telecom and Social Media) and Dubai Lynx (Brand Experience & Activation and PR).
