To fight against plastic pollution and launch Corona’s global platform in Brazil, we’ve decided to do it in a place that was leading this discussion in the country: Fernando de Noronha, an island that had promised to ban single use plastic.
I helped to develop a full social and digital strategy - from the brand’s point of view in digital comms, content ideas amplifying beach clean ups, social media contents based on cultural moments and a project bringing a new way of using influence with the surfing champion Gabriel Medina - “Medina Exchange”.
“Plastic doesn't belong to paradise”
We lent Gabriel Media to small businesses in Fernando de Noronha island, on a simple condition: they’d have to end their stock of plastic on the same day.
The contents, activations and campaigns helped to accelerate the ban of single use plastic in Fernando de Noronha, bringing the issue to the agenda in different regions of the country, generating buzz, conversations and making people more aware about the issue.
